Small bites of self-discovery

Empowering workshops to support life’s challenges

As we travel through life, we’re shaped by myriad interactions, emotions and events that define our existence. Our biology, psychology, society and culture play a significant role in how we perceive, interpret and respond to the world around us.

It’s through this lens that we navigate our identities, values and beliefs. And construct meaning in our lives. This human experience is deeply personal. However, our stories are so interconnected.

Our Self Discovery Bites are designed to bring together individuals with similar stories and experiences to connect as a group and explore interventions that provide relief to certain conditions. Our next series of workshops will focus on two specialised areas:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Peri-menopause and beyond

Stress and Anxiety

Who is it for:

This workshop is designed to support those who feel a heightened sense of stress that interrupts their quality of life. It’s open to men and women who are looking for a way to not be a victim of 21st century living but want to engage in a calmer place of existence.

What is included in the workshop?

In this session we gain insight into the biology of stress and resilience and, with this knowledge, incorporate interventions that enable us to shift how we feel. An outcome of this workshop is to develop a practice that you can adapt into your regular life, post workshop.

Interventions include: education on the autonomic nervous system and polyvagal theory, somatic exercises, meditation and discussions.

Peri-menopause and beyond

Who is it for:

This workshop is designed to support women moving into a change of life - whether they are experiencing peri-menopausal symptoms or not. It’s also for women who are looking for a different perspective and would like to feel empowered in this stage of life. This workshop usually attracts women 45+.

What is included in the workshop?

In this session we will workshop the common drivers to peri-menopause and ageing, and explore how we can comfortably encompass the wisdom of the past.

Interventions include: a nutrition/lifestyle medicine philosophy to ageing, somatic exercises, meditation and open discussions.

Both workshops come with worksheets to document insights and learnings. These workshops are distinctly different; however, some activities will be similar in nature.

* Please note this is a self-development workshop, designed to develop a better understanding of the dynamics of stress to enable better cognitive and behavioural choices. It is not designed to address the complexities of mental health and hormonal disorders. Rather, our focus is to assist in the practical application of flexible ways of thinking, behaving and promoting lifestyle changes to build resilience.
