Our Workshop
Quite simply, our workshops do one thing: they peel the layers of distraction away to remind us of our innate resilience and natural abilities.
Throughout life we are distracted by different thoughts and beliefs that limit our ability to move forward. We are also driven by emotions that we don’t feel we have control over. This is the time when we lose our direction, feel dissatisfied and question our ability. In this workshop, our focus is not to reinvent ourselves or change who we are, it’s to undo what was once created to support you, and to rediscover your instinctive self – the one that makes more intelligent and intuitive choices in the world.
Day 1: Moving beyond stress
Life is NOT about having stability 24/7. It’s about how we move in and out of stability in a functional way. This correlates with the meaning of resilience: a positive adaptation in the face of adversity. In today’s session we gain insight into the biology of stress and resilience, and experience the choices we have in managing our feelings and emotions. Experimenting with physicality allows us to make immediate shifts in how we feel.
making life less complicated…
Day 2: Acknowledging the barriers
How did you go yesterday? Any insights? Today we build on our experiences and focus our attention on the mind and personality. It took us a long time to develop our ‘bad’ habits for reasons that initially served us. In this session we explore why old habits die hard and what aspects of our personality prevent us from being attentive to our needs. As Abraham Maslow once said: One can choose to go back towards safety or forward towards growth.
Our workshops run over a whole weekend Saturday and Sunday (9am-4pm)
NEXT SERIES OF WORKSHOPS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON …
Maximum intake: 20 participants
The foundations of our workshops are based on the following learnings and theories: autonomic nervous system, Poly-Vagal Theory, embodied self-awareness, neuroplasticity, personality styles, targeted guided meditations and mindfulness.
** Please note: this is a self-development workshop, designed to develop a better understanding of the dynamics of stress to enable better cognitive and behavioural choices. It is not designed to address the complexities of mental health disorders. Rather, our focus is to assist in the practical application of flexible ways of thinking and behaving, to build emotional resilience
